Keyword Analysis and Research
Keyword Analysis is all part of
SEO (or Search Engine Optimization). This is
the art and science of tailoring your written words so they
please the search engines, which gets you higher rankings and
status with them.
When a page is written well it will please your human
visitors, which means they will begin to trust you a little
more and it opens up the possibility of getting your MWR
(most-wanted response) from them. Your MWR might be to get a
sale right away, or it might be that you want to get your
visitor to give you their name and email address so you can
contact them again.
If you have the right research, you can find out what
keywords people are using to search the Internet for whatever
it is you have to offer... (actually people search
for key phrases). And then they come to your site
when a Search Engine or a Directory shows a listing to
your website in response to the keyword they typed in.
If your company name is Jimmy's Plumbers then
you're far more likely to be found under the keyword
plumber or plumbers than under the keyword
Jimmy's. But as a plumber, you'll find you have an
awful lot of competitors out there. The trick is to give your
web pages an 'edge' over the competitors who know less
about SEO and keywords than you do.
SEO is not about trying to trick the search engines,
although there are many 'SEO experts' out there who make it
their life's work, studying every little change and nuance of
Google in particular. The best Search Engine Optimization comes
through designing your website's structure and the
copy on its pages to provide good content which pleases the
visitors and has them coming back for more!
In a day's research I can find out for
you which search terms people use when looking on the
internet for your product or service. What's more, I
can tell where your best opportunities are.
This keyword research and analysis is all part of
Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
